From 2020 to date, we have worked alongside churches in Pakistan to distribute Bibles and (or Food Relief during the Covid 19 Pandemic). Our span has been 9 different towns.
Our initial focus was Women in particular because of our organisational gender make-up and due to the paramount role mothers play in the home.
By the leading of the Holy Spirit and to address certain challenges, we later decided our strategic focus must be to strengthen the next generation. We worked with churches in supplying each family with a child one Youth Bible through their Teen and Children's Sunday School Groups. But also many Ministers distributed outside their churches as an evangelical tool.
The benefit has been great. The children enjoy the simplicity and pictures, read to uneducated parents, engaging the entire family. Children are also more inclined to make new friends and share their encounter more readily.
We have sent out over a 1,000 Bibles so far. We are raising funds for Audio Bibles in Urdi for Pakistan. The intention is they would be distributed to those who can't read.
The cost about £6 GBP including transport. We are working on one per family.
